Telegram Alert Setup

Set up Telegram notifications for your smart contract alerts

Telegram gives you instant push notifications for smart contract alerts directly on your phone or desktop. Setup takes under 2 minutes.

What You'll Need

  • A Telegram account (download Telegram if you don't have one)
  • The Telegram app installed on your phone or desktop

Step 1: Connect in ChainRaven

  1. Log in to your ChainRaven dashboard
  2. Go to Profile > Integrations
  3. In the Telegram section, click Connect Telegram
  4. Click the link that appears to open Telegram
  5. In Telegram, press Start to link your account

You'll see a confirmation message in Telegram when the connection is successful.

Step 2: Enable Telegram Alerts

  1. Go to Profile > Alert Preferences
  2. Expand each alert type you want delivered via Telegram
  3. Check the Telegram checkbox
  4. Click Save Changes

Step 3: Test Your Setup

Recommended: Always send a test alert after connecting to confirm everything is working before relying on it for real alerts.

From the Integrations page, click Send Test Message in the Telegram section. You should receive a test alert in your Telegram chat within a few seconds.

What Alerts Look Like

Each Telegram alert includes:

  1. Event type with severity indicator (🔴 Critical, 🟠 High, 🟡 Medium, 🔵 Low)
  2. Contract address and blockchain network
  3. Event-specific details (addresses, amounts, etc.)
  4. Link to view the transaction on the block explorer
  5. Link to open your ChainRaven dashboard

Bot Commands

You can interact with the ChainRaven bot using these commands:

Troubleshooting

Bot not responding?

  1. Verify you entered the correct bot token in ChainRaven
  2. Make sure you pressed Start in Telegram after clicking the connect link
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting from the Integrations page

Not receiving alerts?

  1. Go to Alert Preferences and verify Telegram is checked for the alert types you want
  2. Review your cooldown settings — a high cooldown blocks repeated alerts from the same contract
  3. Check Sent Alerts in the dashboard to see if alerts were triggered and whether delivery was attempted

Want to disconnect?

  1. Go to Profile > Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect in the Telegram section
